Darkrai and the Member Card

Darkrai can be caught on Fullmoon Island... if you have the Member Card. The member Card can be gotten through a Wi-Fi event which lasted from August 3 to September 13.

This is the only chance to get Darkrai legitly so far, so I am describing it here for those who did not have a chance to get the member card.

If you have the item but for some reason don't know how to use it, here are the instructions.

  1. Go to Canalave city with some level XX Pokemon and Ultra Balls.
  2. Enter the house above the Pokemon Center. Normally, this house is locked, but with the Member Card, you can go in.
  3. The hotel manager from hell will tell you "...Welcome... ... ...Kekeke... We've had a reservation for you. We've held it for a long time..." You will automatically walk towards the bed and lay down. "[name] lay down on the bed as if bidden there..." The screen will fade in and out three times.
  4. You will awake on New Moon island near a boat. Interestingly enough, NewMoon island seems to be a mirror of Fullmoon Island. You can't fly off. Go up the path and enter the forest to the left.
  5. Talk to Darkrai. "... ..." You will enter a fight with a level 50 Darkrai. Catch it, of course, unless you want to beat it for some reason.
  6. If you run away or beat it, you will get "Darkrai melted away into the darkness...". If you catch it, you will get Pokedex data. No matter what you do, you will get this:
    "...A voice called out from somewhere... ???: DARKRAI... Your power is strong. Though you don't will it, you make people and Pokemon around you see terrible nightmares... That is why you came here... Newmoon Island... There is no one but you here... There is none that can be drawn into your nightmare. If anyone were to fal into a nightmare, the Fullmoon Island is cloes by... ... ..." The screen will fade in and out three times again and you will be in the bed. "[name] awakened!" and the manager is gone. You can go out and back in and do the whole thing again if you didn't catch Darkrai.
