I don't really have frequently asked questions as of yet. I'm just posting questions that I think I'm likely to get. If I do ever have a frequently asked question, I'll add it to here.

Where did the name The Red Blimp come from?

After a while, the domain for Critter Cryptics expired and was promptly snatched up by some random domain parker. I didn't want to wait a year to restart my site, so I thought of some new names. Many names were thought of, but I thought that The Red Blimp was the best since there is a blimp in Paper Mario, there is a flying balloon-like object in EarthBound, and there's a balloon Pokemon. It's the only thing I could think of that tied together all three games.

Where did the name Critter Cryptics come from? Why do you have a non-word in there?

It was made at random searching for cool names. I thought "Pokemon is made up of Critters and they have mysteries. Cryptic = Mystery. I'll call it Critter Cryptics!" When I found out Cryptics wasn't a word, I'd already made some graphics for the site and I didn't want to change them, so the name stuck. :P

Haven't I seen this site before?

You might have. I ran Critter Cryptics from a CMD from sometime in 2006 to 2007. It was eventually killed by a computer crash in which most of the files were lost.

Your website has a problem! so-and-so thing doesn't work in my browser/resolution.

(I know it's not a question, so hush) I'd be glad if you told me of a problem with my website and gave a picture/screenshot of it too so that I can see what the problem is. If you know why the website is malfunctioning, and/ or how to fix it, please tell me as well. I've tested this website in Firefox 3, Opera 9.26 and the most recent version, and Internet Explorer 8. Togepi style takes a while to load in Firefox for some reason (if you know why, please tell me) and I haven't had my XHTML validated yet (I'm trying to, believe me).

Why isn't this pure Pokemon anymore? Where did this EarthBound/Paper Mario stuff come from?

There was Paper Mario content on the old site and I really wanted to write about EarthBound as well. If you look, you'll see the majority of the content is about Pokemon anyway.

This isn't a question either but if you could tell me what you disliked about The Red Blimp and find you to have a valid complaint, I'll fix it. If you are writing me stuff like that second e-mail, I'll ask for you to type something understandable.

The name I go by on the internet is LynxRunner along with GoldYoshi, neobinary, and dasgas2. I'm a girl who does stuff. For more, bloop on over to the About Me section.

Why have a website dedicated to writing stuff about videogames? Why not something useful?

The very first incarnation of this website existed in 2003 because I had a lot of thoughts about Pokemon and wanted to make them public. Right now, it's the only thing I'm interested in making a website about. If I ever get the urge to make a website about how to play the musical saw or cooking up Icelandic food, I might make it, but right now, my focus is these videogames.
